off to London!

Saturday night: the packing commences (this picture does NOT do it justice)...my dad was so mad at me for taking over his room with all of my crap! But I did manage to get it all done and packed into 2 suitcases :)
Sunday morning: I attempted the flight out of Augusta, but didn't make it on, so my dad and I drove to Atlanta where I boarded the 5:35 flight and managed to get first class, lucky me! Watched a few movies, fell asleep, and of course missed breakfast.

Monday morning London time: I arrived at the airport around 7 am, went through customs, bought a tube ticket to Clapham and grabbed my HUGE hard-to-carry bags which i somehow managed to drag around with me throughout the morning. I took the train to Clapham, and as I was going to leave the station, realized I misplaced my tube pass and couldn't get out. I then told a worker and he wrote me a ticket and asked for 20 pounds - apparently I committed a crime by losing my pass. I was upset and confused but gave him the money and called my friend Oli and told him I was on my way to his place! It probably took me a good 45 minutes to find a taxi, but once I did I was very relieved to not have to drag my bags all around. I arrived at Oli's "15 Graham House" and sat down for a while with Oli. We both were very tired (and he was extremely hungover from celebrating his birthday the night before) but we decided to go on a little outing in Clapham. We walked across town, picked up his friend, and went to eat at a cheap little place that served breakfast all day, perfect! It reminded me a little of Waffle House but served chips (french fries) and beans with breakfast...how interesting.
Henry and Oli

We watched some TV (mostly "Friends") and a knock-off version of The Hills (Made in Chelsea). Henry cooked us dinner and I went to bed on my blow-up mattress!

Tuesday morning: I woke up to an empty house...Oli and Henry had work from 7-7 all day! I watched a couple of movies and napped off my jet-lag. Henry came home and cooked us another amazing dinner and we decided we should go out to the pub for a few drinks! The first pub was called THE GROVE, how perfect:
Local Pub

Of course I spotted a Burger King across the way...

Interesting wall decor at the Pub
